Meet Your Counselor Bev

Beverly Toelle grew up in Wyoming and Colorado. After a rough childhood and experiencing the deaths of her step-mom at 13 years old and her mom at 20 years old, she eventually found Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior on April 22, 1989.  She received her Psychology degree from the University of Wyoming in 1990. In 1995 Beverly married Phil Toelle and they now have three adult children. Phil and Beverly lived in southern California for many years where they volunteered at their church in various counseling and mentoring capacities such as directing Clean and Sober Fellowship, a ministry helping people and their loved ones with life dominating habits. They also assisted with pre-marital, marriage and individual counseling at their church. In addition, Beverly mentored clients at the Los Angeles Mission rehabilitation center in educational goals as well as provided spiritual and emotional encouragement.  Beverly received her Masters degree in Intercultural Studies from Biola University in La Mirada, CA in 1999.  Beverly was ordained as a minister by Evangelical Church Alliance International in February 2018.  She also has experience with pastoral care through her work as an Associate Chaplain at a local hospital and worked with expecting and new parents at a local pregnancy care center. Starting off a volunteer prayer partner at BCCWY for many years, she later went through the BCC/Caring for the Heart model training as an intern and finished that in April 2024; while also working part time at BCCWY as an administrator, scheduler and counselor. She became the Director of BCCWY on July 1, 2024 and will continue to be mentored in this role by Charlie Reed, the Founder and former Director, while he continues as a pastoral counselor until he retires on June 30, 2025. Two of Beverly's favorite Scripture passages are Isaiah 61:1-3 and John 10:10.  She likes gardening, restoring furniture, and kayaking, but mostly, enjoys being a wife to Phil and a mom to their adult children and their spouses.
